I realized today that the last time I did any nail art it was 9 months ago. So just to get back into the groove I started with something simple: watermelons. It just feels right for the beginning of the summer.

A Breath of Fresh Air
So I don't know if you know that this exists or not, but it's Revlon's scented nail polish. And they actually do smell when dry. I only bought peach smoothie and mad about mango because I was pretty skeptical at first. I know that two years ago Rimmel had a line of scented nail polished that were only available in the UK (don't you just hate when that happens?). So I was pretty excited to spot this when I was looking through the beauty products at Walmart. The color goes on pretty smooth too so that's a plus.
I have actually been taking a break from nail polish at the moment. Crazy, I know. This is probably the first time in a year that I have decided to wear my nails unpolished for more than two or three days max. As of right now there is not a speck of polish on my fingernails or toenails. It kind of gives people a shock because they are always looking forward to what I'll do next. I like this change. It's pretty refreshing I think.
Lately I've been focusing on school. I just want to improve every aspect of my life. I am currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It's one of those books that kids read for class all the time. Sometimes it's really hard to muster up the motivation to read and that's kind of a bad thing when you're a literature major.
Oh, and having Einsten bagels in my apartment right now is the best thing.
xx
